PHOTOGRAPHY AND PRINT PROOFING For Fine Art Reproduction Printing

In order to make a fine art reproduction of your art, it must be photographed with a special digital camera. That photo mage file is then used to make a series of test prints or proofs, which are compared directly to your original painting for accuracy. Corrections are made to the digital file and additional proofs are made till there is a perfect match.This takes about a week to do. Once the client has approved and signed the proof,  the matching digital file is used to make the final reproductions on canvas or fine art paper. 

Painting, prints or flat art of practically any size can be photographed in our studio using special lighting and a digital capture system that produces files of astonishingly high quality. Surface details and brushstrokes can be captured perefectly, for prints that have an amazing trompe l'oeil realism. 

The prices below cover both photography and the creation of a master proof and digital file. This is a flat-fee service. There are no additional fees no matter how long it takes us. This is a one time charge. Once the print file is created, you can order as many reproduction prints as you like now or in the future. 

The price for high-resolution photography without proofing is half the prices listed below.

PHOTOGRAPHY for websites, digital portfolios, art school and grant applications, postcards, emailing and personal printing

This service is for web or small prints of paintings or other flat artwork brought to my studio. Color matching is done on a calibrated high-end proofing monitor, so they will be great for most purposes, but this service does not include large files or print proofing, which is requred for accurate reproductions of your artwork. 

Photograph up to 3 paintings and provide email, website and 5x7 home print file......$150

ARCHIVAL CANVAS FINE ART PRINTS

Below are prices for canvas prints made from ready-to-print image files of your artwork, created here at Artopia. These are prices for un-stretched canvas prints. Stretching prices with standard bars are in the last column. We custom-cut our stretcher bars for any size canvas print here at our studio. Please call if you have questions regarding bar width, style and gallery wrapping. We can provide any type of bar or stretching style you need. 

We use only the finest archival canvas for our prints, and  three coats of finish is applied to each print. We never use canvas that is manufactured with a glossy or other finish that doesn't require coating. It is easy to print, but it doesn't last.  We print with archival pigment inks so your canvas prints will last 100 years or more if properly displayed. 

Canves prints come with a choice or hanging systems - wire or wallbuddies. Call for details.

Un-stretched canvas prints can be rolled and sent elsewhere for stretching. This is convenient if you want to send a canvas to another state or country.

FINE ART PAPER PRINTS 

Below are prices for ready-to-print image files created at Artopia, of your artwork. Prices are based on the outside dimension of the print you are ordering, including borders. All prints up to 16x20 come with backing boards and clear envelopes. Pigment inks are used for all prints. Every print receives an invisible, uv and water-resistant finish.
